Allan From’s practice focuses primarily on the areas of Tax, Estate Planning and Corporate Law. Allan heads our Estate Planning practice and has over twenty-five years of experience in estate and tax planning for clients of all levels of income and net worth. Allan is very familiar with all areas of estate planning and administration, including planned charitable giving, life insurance planning and providing for children and grandchildren. He represents many smaller to medium size businesses, giving him a keen understanding of how the aspects of corporate law and estate planning fit together. Allan also has worked for the Estate and Gift Tax Division of the Internal Revenue Service.
Allan is a member of both the North Carolina and South Carolina Bars and is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina, the United States District Court of South Carolina, the United States Tax Court and the United States Court of Claims. While attending George Washington University, Allan was active in many extra curricular activities resulting in his election to Omicron Delta Kappa, an honorary fraternity. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the George Washington University, where he is Assistant Secretary, Chairman of the Student Affairs Committee, and a member of the Board’s Executive Committee. While in law school, he served on the legal staff of the Internal Revenue Service, Estate and Gift Tax Division. Allan also has been active in his community and has served as President of the Wake County Jewish Federation.
