Matt Lawless focuses his practice in the areas of civil litigation and business and corporate law. Matt was admitted to the North Carolina State Bar in 2009. While in law school, Matt received the CALI Award for Excellence in contracts and business organizations. He served as a research assistant in the area of constitutional law and was a staff member of the Tennessee Journal of Practice and Procedure. In college, Matt played varsity basketball for Washington and Lee University.
