John Hutson is one of the firm’s most experienced litigators. John has a wealth of experience in assisting all types of business clients in evaluating and litigating contract and commercial lawsuits. John also devotes a substantial part of his practice to litigating matters involving estates, trusts and guardianships.
Along with Scott Miskimon, John is the co-author of the authoritative treatise, North Carolina Contract Law, which was published by Lexis Publishing in February 2001. John is admitted to practice in North Carolina state courts, the district federal courts in the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of North Carolina, the United States Tax Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. John was selected as one of the premier litigators in North Carolina by North Carolina Business Magazine. John is married and has two children. John was winner of the Y-Guides raft race in 2003 and the Y-Princess raft race in 2006.
