Howard Stallings Law Firm Expands By Adding Three New Attorneys

The Raleigh law firm of Howard, Stallings, From, Atkins, Angell & Davis, P.A. has announced that it has joined forces with two of the former partners of Boxley, Bolton, Garber & Haywood, L.L.P.  effective as of January 1, 2019.

Kenneth C. Haywood and Everett M. Bolton have been admitted as new shareholders in the Howard Stallings law firm.  “These outstanding attorneys have earned a reputation of excellence within Raleigh’s legal and business community,” said Cader Howard, the firm’s managing partner.  “We know that other firms were vying for the opportunity to work with them, so we are very pleased that they chose to accept our offer and join our firm.”

Haywood, whose practice focuses on business law and real estate matters, including land use and eminent domain, led the search and negotiations for the Boxley Bolton partners.  “We were pursuing many options to find the best fit for us and our clients.  We were ready to grow our practice and were looking for a larger firm with the resources and expertise to maximize the services we could provide to our clients.  We were very impressed with the solid business practice and litigation support that the Howard Stallings firm can provide.”  Everett Bolton agreed. “I have developed an Estate Planning practice, and for several years now I have served as a Public Appointee and Guardian here in Wake County.  I was excited to get the opportunity to work with Allan From and to continue the firm’s tradition of excellence in tax and estate planning.”

The firm’s expansion also includes the addition of Rebecca Huffman Ugolick, who joined the firm as a new Associate in September. Ugolick is a litigator who focuses her practice on civil litigation, immigration law and criminal defense. She made headlines in December when she and Robby Jessup tried a controversial wrongful death case in Harnett County to a successful verdict for the client.  Ugolick says that her passion for advocacy is in her blood. She is a third generation attorney following in the footsteps of her father, Attorney William O. Huffman, and her grandfather, the late Senator Odell H. Huffman of West Virginia.

Founded in Raleigh in 1983, Howard, Stallings, From, Atkins, Angell & Davis, P.A. now has sixteen attorneys and additional offices in New Bern and Morehead City.  The firm represents local businesses and individuals as well as Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 companies, including national retailers and regional banks.
