REQUIREMENT: FFCRA Notice

REQUIREMENT: FFCRA Notice

We understand that you may have legal questions given the evolving news and updates around the spread of COVID-19.
We remain dedicated to your success and are here for you. Let us know how we can help.

In connection with the Families First Coronavirus Response Act, which went into effect on Wednesday April 1, 2020, businesses with less than 500 employees are required to post a notice informing employees of their rights to paid leave under the Act. The Department of Labor has issued a model notice, which employers can obtain free for their use at the Department’s website.

To discharge their notice obligations under the Act, employers must immediately post the model notice (or a materially similar form of notice) in a conspicuous place on the employer’s premises, where all employees are able to see it. Alternatively, employers can satisfy the notice requirement by emailing or direct mailing the notice to employees, or posting the notice on an internal or external employee information website.

The Department is working to translate the model notice into other languages, but at this point employers are not required to post the notice in multiple languages. Click here for the Department’s model notice.

Call us if you have any questions about this notice requirement, or any other provision of the Families First Coronavirus Response Act.
