Robert “Robby” Jessup, a partner at the Howard Stallings Law Firm, represents plaintiffs in property insurance, serious injury, and wrongful death cases. Throughout his career, Robby has helped many clients secure significant recoveries, including several dozen that were seven-figures or more. His work has earned him recognition as a member of The Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum, Best Lawyers in America, and Super Lawyers.
Robby’s work with crime victims, including survivors of shootings, violent assaults, and childhood sexual abuse, has led to some of his cases being featured in national and local media, including on an AMC/Sundance True Crime Series, It Couldn’t Happen Here.
Born and raised in North Carolina, Robby earned his undergraduate degree (Religious Studies and Journalism) and law degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, graduating cum laude with both. His deep connection to his home state and the people who live here drives his dedication to helping those who need it most.
Robby is admitted to practice law before the Supreme Court of the United States, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, all Federal District Courts within North Carolina, and all North Carolina State Courts.
Living in Raleigh with his young daughter and wife (who is also an attorney), Robby enjoys taking family trips to the beach and salt-water fishing. His goldendoodle, Hobie, enjoys those trips too. Community involvement is important to Robby, and he regularly attends a local Methodist church, is a Board Member of the North Carolina Mock Trial Program, and a member of a local masonic lodge.
