Sheri focuses her practice on Business as well as Trust and Estate Litigation.

Experience

Prior to joining Howard Stallings Sheri worked for Legal Aid of North Carolina where she practiced Consumer and Housing Law. She has extensive experience negotiating and drafting contracts and agreements as well as civil litigation. Prior to working for Legal Aid of North Carolina Sheri worked in the Raleigh office of K&L Gates. During law school Sheri had the opportunity to intern at a Boutique law firm in Raleigh as well as the District Attorney’s Office in Durham.

As a second-career attorney Sheri has a passion for helping clients solve challenging problems and achieve positive outcomes. Prior to practicing law Sheri worked in corporate banking and finance. With experience in Global Risk and Trading Systems, Capital Markets Finance, Risk Management, Strategic Initiatives, Business Real Estate Finance and Wealth Management Sheri has a uniquely well-rounded background. This included financial analysis, underwriting as well as Mergers and Acquisitions. Her successful career in corporate banking and finance equipped Sheri with the necessary insight and knowledge to advise businesses and financial institutions on their rights, responsibilities, and duties under the law.

Education and Membership

Sheri is a native of North Carolina and received her B.A. in 2015 from North Carolina State University, she received her J.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Law. While attending law school, she served as the Circulation Editor and Staff Member of the North Carolina Journal of International Law. She has articles published on several International Law Issues. Additionally, Sheri has received several awards for Trial and Moot Court Arbitration Competitions.
Sheri was admitted to the North Carolina State Bar in 2019, and is also admitted to practice in the Eastern Federal District of North Carolina. She is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association, Wake County Bar Association, and the North Carolina Association of Women Attorneys.
