“Kenneth for over 25 years has handled all our company’s real estate acquisition, leasing and litigation work. In 2003, the government in an eminent domain action took a part of our property for the expansion of a water treatment facility. The tract of land consisted of a mixed-use development with a shopping center and future residential development. The government’s deposit for the taking was $48,500. The parties attended a mediation conference at which time the government offered no increase above the deposit. Kenneth then took the case to a jury trial. At the end of the trial the court awarded $428,392 which represented an 883% increase above the deposit.”
